The event entitled “Brave Women of the Motherland” took place in the capital of Tajikistan. It was organised by the Committee on Women and the Family under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to mark the 30th anniversary of the Armed Forces of Tajikistan, the Khovar State News Agency reported.
The women working in military and law enforcement agencies attended the event. The speakers noted that President Emomali Rahmon pays special attention to supporting the social status of the representatives of the beautiful half of citizens of the country. Thanks to his initiatives, the number of women who hold government positions is growing.
The participants emphasised that the Cabinet of Ministers is taking all necessary measures to ensure the equal right of men and women in all sectors of the national economy.
Currently, 3,327 women are working in law enforcement agencies of Tajikistan, and 1,443 representatives of the beautiful half are working in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
