Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the People’s Republic of China Aktilek Musayeva addressed the First Central Asia-China Forum on Industrial and Investment Cooperation, which took place in the Chinese city of Qingdao, Shandong Province, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported on February 22.
Musayeva reported on trade and economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China, focusing on the measures taken by the Cabinet of Ministers to improve the investment climate in the country. The Ambassador noted the significant investment potential of Kyrgyzstan in the energy, agricultural and tourism sectors.
The presentations on the strategy of Kyrgyzstan for attracting FDI, in particular the investment climate, tax incentives and ongoing projects in the economic sectors were made at the plenary sessions and sub-forums.
First Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev attended the opening ceremony of the Forum via videoconference.
