On February 17, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Bukhara Azteks garment factory in Shafirkan district during his trip to Bukhara, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported.
In recent years, several cotton processing plants have been built in the region. They produce cotton yarn, cotton clothes, cottonseed oil, soap and animal feed.
The new industrial facilities created thousands of jobs for local people. Bukhara Azteks is one of these enterprises that contribute to the welfare of the population of the region.
The factory stuffed with state-of-the-art sewing equipment from Japan, Germany and Turkey produces up to 16 million goods per year, about half of which are exported. The project cost is $8.7 million; more than a thousand jobs were created. Solar panels installed on the roof of the factory building partially meets its energy needs.
President Mirziyoyev visited the production departments of the factory, talked to the factory workers and inspected the quality of the goods.
