Dushanbe’s GRP stands at $2.16 billion in 2022

The Mayor’s Office of Dushanbe held a press conference on the social and economic development of the capital of Tajikistan in 2022. First Deputy Mayor Jamshed Tabarzoda reported that the gross regional product (GRP) of Dushanbe stood at 22.5 billion somoni (about $2.16 billion) in the reporting period, the press office of the Mayor’s Office reported to CentralAsia.news.

The GRP growth rate reached 108.1 percent. The share of the gross regional product of the capital of Tajikistan in Tajikistan’s GDP is 19.5 percent. Industrial production increased by 102.5 percent.

The Deputy Mayor reported that the external turnover of the organisations registered in Dushanbe stood at 13.4 billion somoni (about $1.29 billion) in 2022. Inflation reached 4.2 percent.

As reported, Tajikistan’s GDP grew by 115.7 billion somoni (over $11.1 billion) in 2022. According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, Tajikistan’s economy demonstrated stability amid a global crisis.
