President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon chaired an expanded meeting of the Security Council in Dushanbe. The President instructed the government officials to significantly intensify their efforts in the framework of the National Strategy on countering terrorism and extremism for 2021-2025, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
Particular attention was paid to the timely prevention of the financing of terrorism. In this regard, Rahmon instructed the National Bank to more closely monitor banking operations. The heads of military departments were instructed to supply the armed forces of the Republic with new equipment.
This year, 70 border facilities will be put into operation in accordance with the instructions of the President. Rahmon highlighted the need to improve the professional skills of military personnel and bring up patriotic young people.
The participants discussed the measures being taken to mitigate the impact of an avalanche in Khorog that resulted in casualties among the local population. The President instructed to rebuild the destroyed facilities and provide support the affected families.
