On February 10, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with UNDP Uzbekistan Resident Representative Matilda Dimovska. The UNDP Resident Representative expressed commitment to close cooperation with the Government of Uzbekistan in the successful implementation of the New Uzbekistan Development Strategy for 2022-2026 that is fully compatible with the UN SDGs.
The interlocutors confirmed mutual readiness to further expand cooperation in combating climate change and protecting the environment, switching to renewable energy and implementing social and economic programmes in the Aral Sea region.
