On February 10, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev received Chairman of the Board of JSC Baiterek National Managing Holding Kanat Sharlapaev, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported.
Sharlapaev reported on the work done by the National Managing Holding and its profit in 2022. Last year, the profit surged to a record high of 350 billion tenge, which is 5 times higher than in 2020 and 3 times higher than in 2021.
In 2022, Baiterek financed over 230 large projects and leasing transactions worth 685 billion tenge and the projects of small and medium-sized businesses worth about 1.5 trillion tenge.
Baiterek’s financial investments in the agricultural projects totalled 522 billion tenge instead of 432 billion tenge, as initially planned.
In 2022, the National Managing Holding allocated about 1.4 trillion tenge in preferential mortgage loans and financed the construction of credit housing by akimats in the amount of 176.4 billion tenge.
JSC Baiterek National Managing Holding was established by the President of Kazakhstan in 2013. This is a key financial institution of the Government of Kazakhstan that is the sole shareholder of the National Managing Holding. Baiterek provides financial and investment support and ensures sustainable development of Kazakhstan’s non-oil sector.
