On February 9, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjarto to discuss key aspects of bilateral partnerships in priority areas, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the progress of the implementation of the high-level agreements. They noted the prospects for building up fruitful cooperation in the trade and economic sectors and implementing joint projects in the pharmaceutical, textile, agricultural, engineering, energy, innovative technologies, tourism, science and education sectors.
An exchange of views on the prospects of interaction between the parliaments of the two countries and within international political, public and financial organisations and institutions took place during the meeting.
The foreign ministers of the two countries highlighted the relevance of holding consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Hungary on an ongoing basis.
