Ambassador of Tajikistan in Baku Rustam Soli held talks with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov. The interlocutors discussed cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
The talks focused on cooperation in 11 promising areas. These included politics, economy, trade, investment, transport, aviation, energy, industry, tourism, culture, science and education.
The officials discussed the progress of the implementation of Tajikistan-Azerbaijan projects, the arrangement of working trips and the possibility of boosting new formats of bilateral partnerships.
In January-November of 2022, commodity turnover between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan stood at $4.436 million, or fell nearly 30 percent compared to the same period in 2021. The two countries established diplomatic relations on May 29, 1992.
