On February 7, Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov met with Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry Pham Tan Cong and the top managers of 10 major companies and associations of Vietnam during his visit to Hanoi, the press office of the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan reports.
The participants of the meetings discussed the prospects for expanding business and investment partnerships. The talks with the Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry focused on building up contacts between business circles of Uzbekistan and Vietnam.
The roundtable meetings with representatives of Vietnam’s business circles provided a platform for business talks with the top managers of MTT, the Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group, 1954 COMPANY, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation PetroVietnam and the Vietnam National Chemical Group Vinachem.
The participants exchanged views on the promotion of cooperation in the electrical, chemical, textile, food and agricultural sectors.
The Vietnamese companies are actively cooperating with Uzbek business circles. Joint projects are being implemented in all of the above sectors of Uzbek economy and industry. The talks also focused on the possibility of implementing projects on oil and gas production, geological exploration, fish farming and rice growing.
