Shavkat Mirziyoyev supports youth initiatives of Namangan Region

On February 3, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Yangi Uzbekiston Yoshlar Ziyo Maskani library in Davlatabad district. The library that has the collection of 70,000 books is connected to the world’s largest network of digital libraries, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported to CentralAsia.news.

Library readers receive special ID-cards. All processes are digitalised.

Mirziyoyev talked to young people of Namangan Region during his visit to the library.

“Namangan is a land of great scientists, craftsmen and entrepreneurs. Today, young people are making great strides in economy, arts and sports. When I hear about these achievements, I am very happy, and I think about how to create more opportunities to our youth,” the Uzbek leader noted.

It was emphasised that many youth programmes are being implemented in Namangan Region. In 2022, the state allocated 140 billion soums to empower unorganised youth and their entrepreneurial initiatives, which helped 6,500 young people find their vocation.

Talking about the projects and initiatives aimed at expanding opportunities for personal development of the younger generation, the President said the country is promoting the rule that at least two foreign languages and a profession must be taught at schools. Educational institutions and sports schools are being built in different regions. In this regard, Mirziyoyev said that they all should work in an integrated way and become a school of life.
