Tajikistan-Russia trade exceeds $1.67 billion in 2022

Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Zavki Zavkizoda and his counterpart from the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov held talks in Dushanbe. The interlocutors discussed the results and prospects of bilateral cooperation, the press office of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan reported to CentralAsia.news.

In 2022, Tajikistan-Russia trade amounted to $1.674 billion, or increased by 24 percent compared with 2021. It was emphasised that the Russian Federation is the major trading partner of Tajikistan over the past 10 years.

Discussing investments of the Russian Federation in Tajik projects, the ministers considering setting up industrial joint ventures in the FEZ of Tajikistan.

The emphasis was placed on the preparations for the visit of Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin to Dushanbe, an investment congress and the 9th Tajikistan-Russia Conference on Interregional Cooperation.
