Eighth National Rule of Law Forum in Dushanbe

On November 4, the Eighth National Rule of Law Forum chaired by Minister of Justice of Tajikistan Muzaffar Ashuriyon was held in Dushanbe on the eve of the 28th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Tajikistan, the Khovar News Agency reported.

Congratulating the participants on this significant date in the history of Tajikistan, the Minister noted that the improvement of public legal education and professional knowledge is a guarantee of respect, observance and implementation of the Basic Law and other regulatory and legal acts. He noted that the Constitution has paved the way for the creation, improvement and enhancement of the legal system.

The speakers emphasised that the forum aimed to identify problems that impede the strengthening of the rule of law in the Republic, jointly search for solutions to emerging problems through encouraging the exchange of experience and free discussion and develop specific recommendations to ensure the rule of law and equal rights of all citizens under the law.

The particulates discussed the implementation of the Law of Tajikistan on Public Services and the development of the juvenile justice system (achievements and problems) and the system of pro bono legal service in Tajikistan.
