Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov visited Seoul (Republic of Korea) to participate in the 15th Central Asia-Korea Cooperation Forum, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
On October 24, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Han Duck-soo.
The interlocutors noted the high level of cooperation in the trade, economic, investment and technological sectors achieved over 30 years of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Korea. The Korean side expressed hope for the speedy completion of negotiations for the conclusion of a Free Trade Agreement between the two states.
The interlocutors noted that the promising areas of Uzbekistan-Korea cooperation include the textile industry and the healthcare sector.
On the same day, Vladimir Norov met with Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Kim Jin-pyo. The interlocutors noted the success of strategic cooperation in trade, industry, digital technologies, agriculture, education and health care. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the National Assembly Speaker considered intensifying partnerships in the cultural and humanitarian fields and between the parliaments of the two states.
