Berdimuhamedov orders to tighten control over execution of laws

On October 5, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting of the State Security Council. The President ordered to tighten control over the execution of regulatory and legal acts by state agencies, local governments, institutions and public organisations, the Turkmenistan: Golden Age edition reported.

The President also instructed to ensure proper control over the maintenance of law and order, compliance with fire safety regulations and optimization of road traffic. He stressed that special attention should be paid to the effective coordination of measures for raising legal awareness of citizens.

The President noted that the state policy priorities include the improvement of social and living conditions of military servicemen. He highlighted the need to further strengthen the material and technical base and promote professional development of employees of law enforcement and military agencies using the best international practices.

The Turkmen leader emphasised the importance of bringing up soldiers and cadets in the spirit of military traditions and patriotism. Berdimuhamedov focused on safeguarding the territorial integrity of Turkmenistan and building up friendly relations with neighbouring countries.
