Kazakhstan to hold early presidential election

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev signed the legal act authorising to hold an early presidential election in the Republic of Kazakhstan on November 20, 2022, the press office of Akorda reported.

Addressing his compatriots, the President emphasised that this election launches the electoral process, which will result in a drastic restart of the political system of Kazakhstan.

This nationwide event will further contribute to concentrated efforts on the implementation of conceptual tasks for sustainable economic development and improvement of the welfare and quality of life of the people, the President highlighted.

In this context, the Kazakh leader noted that the election platform, which will soon be made public, will outline new initiatives aimed at social and economic growth.

Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev guaranteed that the election marathon would comply strictly with the laws. Numerous national and international observers are expected to participate, and justice and transparency will reign during the event, the President said.
