On September 15, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov met with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping in Uzbekistan. The meeting of the two leaders took place on the sidelines of the SCO Summit in Samarkand, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.
The President of Kyrgyzstan emphasised that the further development of Kyrgyz-Chinese relations based on good neighbourliness, friendship and comprehensive strategic partnerships meets the interests of the two peoples and contributes to sustainable development of the region.
The President invited Xi Jinping to visit Kyrgyzstan.
“I am convinced that the visit will profoundly contribute to enhancing and promoting good neighbourliness, friendship and cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China and bringing bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level,” he said.
Xi Jinping accepted an invitation to visit Kyrgyzstan. The dates of the visit will be specified through diplomatic channels.
The Chinese side also expressed support for Kyrgyzstan in its reform initiatives.
Xi Jinping emphasised China’s readiness to invest in Kyrgyzstan.
