Social problems voiced by residents to be addressed in Kyrgyzstan within 3 weeks

On September 8, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakyt Torobaev and Prosecutor General Kurmankul Zulushev met with residents of Alai district of Osh Region during their working trip to the regions. The residents informed the officials about their problems, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reports.

“We do not need pre-prepared, “duty” questions and laudatory odes. There should be no populism. Try to use our meeting as effectively as possible to raise really burning and important problems,” Bakyt Torobaev said.

The main problems voiced by the residents were about the activities of mining companies and bridge construction. For example, the bridge to the Budalyk ayil okmotu was destroyed by landslides caused by continued heavy rainfall, and the repairs were delayed unreasonably.

The Deputy Prime Minister listened to the residents and instructed the relevant departments to find funds to reconstruct the bridges and canals.

He promised to consider and address other problems voiced the residents of the district within 3 weeks.
