Berdimuhamedov attends VII Congress of Magtymguly Youth Organisation

On September 1, Turkmen leader Serdar Berdimuhamedov attended the VII Congress of Magtymguly Youth Organisation. The participants in the forum, dedicated to the 31st anniversary of independence, reviewed the work done by the Organisation over the past period, identified priority tasks and discussed organisational issues, the Turkmenistan Today News Agency reported.

The participants elected the new members of the Central Council and the leaders of the Organisation. Yazpolat Keriev was elected as Chairman and D. Durdymuhammedov was elected as Deputy Chairman of the Central Council.

Following the speeches and discussions, the President congratulated those present on Knowledge and Student Day. He said all the necessary conditions are created for young people to grow up healthy and receive quality education. He emphasised that while acquiring profound knowledge and a profession and remaining dedicated to their work, young people should continue to raise the authority and fame of the Fatherland.

Berdimuhamedov said that the state ensures the protection of the rights of young people, increases benefits for young families and take measures to help them purchase modern houses. The younger generation have the rights to choose a school, a language, an area and a type of education. The government agencies are working to provide them with career choices and employment opportunities.

In conclusion, the President signed the Law of Turkmenistan on State Youth Policy, which was greeted by the delegates with great enthusiasm.
