Gas turbine repair center opened in Turkmenistan

On July 20, an official opening ceremony of the Power Equipment Repair and Service Center was held in Turkmenistan. It is the first such facility in Central Asia. The event was attended by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as representatives of Çalik Enerji and General Electric. It was reported by the state news agency «Turkmenistan today».

The facility is located in Buzmeyin district, Ashgabat. The center was built on the initiative of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and with the support of the current leader of the country. The project was implemented by the Turkish company Çalik Enerji. The facility has equipment from the American company General Electric. The main task of the center is to repair and modernize the gas turbines of power plants in Turkmenistan.

About 120 jobs were created at the facility. Relevant specialists have already completed advanced training courses abroad.

As part of the opening ceremony, the Power Equipment Repair and Service Center received certificates for the introduction of sustainable and advanced technologies, high-quality construction, environmental safety, and the fact that this facility is the only one in Central Asia.
