Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Torobaev held a meeting with residents of Nooken district of Jalal-Abad Region. He said it is planned to open social shops throughout the country, the Kabar State News Agency reported.
He noted that the authorised organisation would provide low-income citizens with the goods specified in the assortment lists. priority will be given to nine food products.
Torobaev emphasised that this measure would aim to improve the pricing policy. He noted that rising food prices were a reflection of increasing exchange rates.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that a regional development fund would be set up in every village across the country in the future.
Head of the third political department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Bekbolotov highlighted the importance of mitigating the impact of sanctions imposed by some states on Kyrgyz economy at a meeting with diplomats from Germany, Japan, the United States, the European Union, France and the United Kingdom.
