The Business Council was set up in the Republic of Korea for the companies willing to invest in the Kyrgyz Republic. This was done at the forum of entrepreneurs, which was held in Seoul to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic cooperation between the countries, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.
Representatives of the South Korean companies, including KT Construction, KT, Omnisystem, Smartro, BC Card, KOMSCO and HanaTour, and Kyrgyz entrepreneurs attended the forum.
The forum provided a platform for discussing the potential of the Central Asian country in the tourism, digital, agricultural, textile, mining, energy, construction and education sectors.
The Open Joint Stock Company “Tourism Support Fund in the Kyrgyz Republic” and the largest travel company in South Korea HanaTour signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Korea established diplomatic relations in January 1992. Seoul was one of the first states to recognize independence of the Kyrgyz Republic.
