First Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev met with UK Minister for South Asia, North Africa, the United Nations and the Commonwealth Tariq Ahmad in London. The interlocutors discussed further aspects of interstate cooperation, the press office of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The promising areas of partnerships include agriculture, light industry, renewable energy and ‘green’ economy. The emphasis was placed on drinking water exports to the UK from the Republic, as well as the implementation of mountain tourism projects.
Kasymaliev call on the foreign official to consider holding a Kyrgyzstan-UK investment forum. Tariq Ahmad announced his readiness to consider such an opportunity.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan took part in the anniversary forum of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development during his working trip to the United Kingdom. Bishkek and the EBRD signed an agreement on irrigation improvements in Osh Region worth 17.87 million euros.
