A world-class non-ferrous metals industrial park will be built in Tajikistan. The project will be implemented by Tajik-Sino Mining Co. Its parent company, Tibet Everest Resources Co. Ltd. presented the plan, the Xinhua News Agency reported.
The creation of the park was announced during the celebrations of the 15th anniversary of Tajik-Sino Mining Co. It was noted that the north of Tajikistan is rich in mineral resources, namely lead-zinc ore, the reserves of which are estimated at over 150 million tonnes.
Tajik-Sino Mining Co. is planning to launch a new wave of investment in the development of the region. Tazhong Mining Co. will modernise the Tajikistan-China industrial zone within 5 years.
The construction of the industrial park will create 10,000 new jobs and expand the potential of Tajik economy. The income from the project will be about $1 billion, which will have a positive effect on the modernisation of the industrial sector of the Central Asian country.
