KazMunayGas to launch large polypropylene production plants in Atyrau

On July 4, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev held a meeting with   Chairman of the Board of KazMunayGas JSC Magzum Mirzagaliev, who informed the President about the progress of the implementation of the projects aimed at further developing the petrochemical sector, the press office of Akorda reported.

The President was informed that pre-launch test runs at the large polypropylene plant in Atyrau Region were nearing completion. The plant will be fully operational in August this year. Mirzagaliyev reported on the progress of the implementation of the projects of polyethylene and butadiene production plants.

The guest reported on the economic expansion of the geography of Ozenmunaigas JSC, as well as on social support measures in the Mangistau Territory. The Chairman said the company opened a representative office in Aktau that would ensure prompt exchange on issues related to social and labour relations and the performance of the KazMunayGas subsidiaries.

Mirzagaliev said a modern multifunctional palace for schoolchildren and a number of sports facilities are being built in Zhanaozen which will increase the education level and improve the health of local children.

The President set the tasks to strictly control the practical plane of investment projects and continue with the activities aimed at maintaining social equilibrium.
