This year, Turkmenistan has increased the supply of agricultural products abroad. An important place in this direction is occupied by tomatoes, the output of which increased by 50 percent compared to last year. It was reported by the press office of the customs service of the Central Asian state.
Since the beginning of this year, more than 78 thousand tons of tomatoes have been produced. During the corresponding time, considerable volumes of fruit and vegetable products, including dried ones, were exported abroad from Turkmenistan. Positive growth also included legumes and gourds.
During the specified period, the increase of footwear items sold abroad reached 300%. Detergents, furniture, and leather were also exported in larger volumes.
Businessmen from Lebap province, who are members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, have delivered industrial goods worth over 2.16 million US dollars abroad since the beginning of 2022. These are liquid bituminous mastic, polypropylene bags, and liquid industrial mixture. The country has also expanded electricity exports.
