Turkmen and Indian businessmen exchange ideas on trade development

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, the diplomatic mission of the Republic of India in Ashgabat and the Export Promotion Center of the South Asian country held a videoconference for representatives of business circles of the two states. The agenda of the event was focused on the issues of expanding trade, as reported by the press office of the Indian Embassy.

More than 70 entrepreneurs took part in the online meeting. They shared ideas on the development of trade partnerships, and also exchanged information on opportunities in this direction.

The event was attended by the representatives of business entities engaged in the food, agricultural, textile and engineering sectors.

On April 1, President of India Ram Nath Kovind paid an official visit to Turkmenistan. It was his first working trip to the Central Asian country. As a result of the visit, a package of documents on cooperation in the field of culture and art, emergency situations, and the exchange of financial information was signed between the departments of the countries. The head of the South Asian republic called Turkmenistan an important partner state.
