Ashgabat and Moscow to cooperate in digitalization

The Agency for Transport and Communications of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media of the Russian Federation signed a memorandum on the establishment of bilateral partnerships in the field of digitalization. It was reported by the press office of the Russian agency.

The document was signed by the head of the relevant Turkmen department Mammetkhan Chakiyev and the deputy head of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation Bella Cherkesova.

According to the memorandum, Russia and Turkmenistan will establish cooperation in the field of digitalization of public administration. Attention will also be paid to the development of advanced technologies and state control over the radio frequency spectrum. Officials also intend to organize business missions for companies of the two countries working in the IT business.

On June 10, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the head of Russia Vladimir Putin. They signed a declaration. One of its parts is aimed at expanding cooperation in ensuring international information security.
