Kyrgyzstan asks Turkey to help accommodate its citizens

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with Mayor of Malatya Selahattin Gurkan to discuss the prospects for closer cooperation between the cities of Batken and Malatya, the press office of the   Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reports.

Given that Malatya produces about 70% of Turkey’s apricots, the Ambassador asked the Turkish side to provide new production and processing technologies, as well as assist in boosting exports apricots grown in Batken.

As was reported, Malatya is the second largest apricot exporter in the world.

Omuraliev asked the Turkish side to assist in the accommodation of Kyrgyz citizens who come to work and study to Malatya.

The Ambassador also met with his compatriots in Malatya during his working trip to the region.

Omuraliev informed them about the measures taken by the Government of Kyrgyzstan to protect the rights of citizens. The Ambassador answered their questions.
