Systemic development framework of Aktobe Region outlined

On May 14, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov held a meeting with the Aktobe Region Akim and the heads of a number of key ministries during his working trip to Aktobe Region. The participants discussed the schematics of comprehensive social and economic modernization of the region, the press office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported to CentralAsia.news.

The Prime Minister specified that Aktobe Region is one of the most important industrial and agricultural components of the country, where oil refining infrastructure, construction and food production are expanding with every passing year. It was noted that 150 billion tenge (approximately $345 million) will be invested in the development of the region in 2022.

These funds will be used to reconstruct the highways, improve the gas supply network and agricultural facilities, build apartment houses, equip healthcare facilities and communal enterprises and employ local residents.

Focusing on the problem of an unreasonable rise in food prices, Smailov instructed to take well thought-out and effective measures to prevent food shortages and strictly monitor the balance of trade margins.
