On May 11, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Korea Aida Ismailova met with Director for Agricultural Policy of Chongyang County, Chungcheongnam-do Province Kim Deok Hwan. The interlocutors discussed employment opportunities for Kyrgyz citizens in the provinces of Korea, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reports.
Noting that citizens of Kyrgyzstan have significant labour potential, Ismailova proposed that the Korean side consider involving her compatriots in seasonal agricultural work in Korea.
She also emphasised that the Kyrgyz side is ready to consider concluding a bilateral agreement on these issues, including on preparatory training of Kyrgyz workers before they travel to Korea for work.
The Director for Agricultural Policy of Chongyang County, Chungcheongnam-do Province confirmed the readiness of the Korean side to give consideration to the proposal of the Kyrgyz side and provide appropriate assistance.
