Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov held talks via videoconference with Chairman of the 10th Committee of the Parliament of Saudi Arabia Ali bin Muhammad bin Yahya Al-Asiri. The interlocutors considered expanding bilateral cooperation and inter-parliamentary relations, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reports.
The interlocutors noted with satisfaction that 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia.
They paid particular attention to key aspects of trade, economic and investment cooperation, organisation of visits at the top and high levels, promotion of bilateral tourism and business contacts and organisation of trade fairs and exhibitions.
The importance of opening direct flights between the two countries was highlighted.
Ali bin Muhammad Al-Asiri emphasised that the leadership of his country attaches great importance to promoting and strengthening friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation with Kyrgyzstan.
