Japarov puts capsule in foundation of Karakol airport terminal

On May 7, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov put the capsule in the foundation of a new terminal at the Karakol International Airport during his working visit to Issyk-Kul Region. The terminal is to be put into operation by the end of 2023, the press office of the President Kyrgyzstan reports.

As was reported, the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers in Kyrgyzstan approved Action Plan for the reconstruction and modernization of airports and air terminals. It envisages reconstructing the Karakol International Airport, namely extending the artificial runway by 400 metres, and building a new terminal of the Karakol International airport.

The construction of a new terminal opens up great opportunities for the Karakol Airport. It will allow receiving flights from international destinations.

The President instructed to carry out construction work in strict compliance with all the requirements and international airport construction standards and construction schedule.
