On May 3, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev had a telephone conversation with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The interlocutors exchanged congratulations on the holy Muslim holiday Oraza Ait and wished happiness, health, prosperity and every success to each other and the peoples of the two countries, the press office of Akorda reported to CentralAsia.news.
The interlocutors focused on the possibilities of intensifying bilateral cooperation in such priority areas as trade, economy and investment, as well as in the cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The Turkish leader said the official visit of the leader of Kazakhstan to Ankara scheduled for May 10-11 will be a significant event which will contribute to multifaceted strategic cooperation between the two states. In this context, Tokayev agreed with this view of the talks in Turkey.
The Kazakh leader highlighted the important role of the Organization of Turkic States in strengthening mutually beneficial economic, cultural and humanitarian contacts.
