Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Iran Turdakun Sydykov visited the Tus industrial zone, where he met with the regional officials of Iran, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Noting the priority development of trade, economic and investment cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Iran, Sydykov proposed to intensify cooperation between the regions of the two countries and relations between Mashhad and the cities of Kyrgyzstan in the tourism, urban planning, industrial and investment sectors.
The emphasis was placed on the importance of increasing the number of flights between the two countries, which would boost cooperation in tourism.
The Iranian side expressed interest in promoting cooperation with Kyrgyzstan and noted that Mashhad was ready to intensify trade, economic and investment cooperation with the cities of Kyrgyzstan.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to hold the trade fair and business forum involving Kyrgyz and Iranian entrepreneurs in Bishkek in June 2022.
