On April 15, a meeting of the Permanent Commission of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States on Culture, Information, Tourism and Sport took place in the Taurida Palace in St. Petersburg. It focused on the support of cinematography and theatre and copyright protection, the press office of the Parliament of Tajikistan reports.
A member of the Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli (the lower house of the Parliament of Tajikistan) Zoir Rakhmonzoda and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Parliament of Tajikistan at the CIS IPA Bakhtovar Safarzoda attended the meeting.
The participants considered the draft laws on state support of cinematography and theatre. Particular attention was paid to the upgraded Intellectual Property Code of the Commonwealth of Independent States and other documents on copyright protection.
The issues under consideration included the vectors of activities of government agencies and officials related to the publication, revision and cancellation of regulatory legal acts on the digitalisation of culture, tourism and sport.
