On April 12, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic held a country presentation of the investment and export potential of Kyrgyzstan for more than 120 Italian companies. It was the first-ever meeting in the history of Kyrgyzstan-Italy relations involving government agencies of Kyrgyzstan held as part of planned work to promote economic diplomacy, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Employees of the government agencies of Kyrgyzstan make presentations on the existing opportunities and the export and investment potential of the sectors which Kyrgyzstan is traditionally strong in, including the hydropower, tourism, agriculture and textile industries in particular.
The Italian companies were invited to set up joint ventures in Kyrgyzstan under the brand “Made with Italy”.
The Italian side noted the high investment attractiveness of Kyrgyzstan and expressed readiness to assist Italy’s business community in expanding trade and economic cooperation with the Kyrgyz side.
