The talks were held on the sidelines of the 48th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Islamabad. Particular attention was paid to the establishment of a development fund, as reported by the press office of the Kyrgyz MFA.
Bishkek offered Ashgabat to consider the possibility of accelerating the creation of a joint development fund. Emphasis was placed on the prospects of launching the organization this year. According to Kazakbayev, it will help expand cooperation between the countries in trade and economy.
The parties also discussed strengthening ties in such areas as agriculture, light industry, tourism, transport and transit.
In June last year, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan agreed to create a joint development fund with an authorized capital worth 100 million dollars. It will support joint business projects.
