Shavkat Mirziyoyev discusses plans of cooperation with Vladimir Putin

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his counterpart from the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin discussed plans of cooperation and further prospects of bilateral relations during a telephone conversation. The Russian leader congratulated on Navruz holiday and wished well-being and prosperity to the President and the multinational people of Uzbekistan. The interlocutors discussed the results of bilateral cooperation and issues in international politics, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported to CentralAsia.news.

They noted that Uzbekistan-Russia relations have risen to an unprecedented high level of strategic partnership and alliance, as illustrated by many indicators. In particular, trade turnover between the two countries has reached US$7.5 billion and increased by 50% since the beginning of 2022. 2,000 joint ventures have been set up during the period of cooperation. Russian investors invested about US $10 billion in Uzbek economy.

The interlocutors considered new plans and prospects for strengthening multi-vector bilateral cooperation in the trade and investment sectors and industrial cooperation by involving businesses of the two countries.
