Saudi Foreign Minister pays first visit to Kyrgyzstan

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud arrived in Kyrgyzstan for his first visit in the history of bilateral relations. He had meetings with President Sadyr Japarov, the Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reported on March 21.

The talks with Japarov focused on increasing bilateral trade. The interlocutors highlighted the need to intensify efforts to encourage investment partnerships.

The Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs invited employees of the National Investment Agency under the President of Kyrgyzstan to pay an official trip to Saudi Arabia to hold talks on expansion cooperation on financial investments in Kyrgyzstan’s projects. He emphasised Saudi Arabia is interested in importing eco-friendly products from the Central Asian state.

On that day, met with Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov. They discussed an exchange of experience and investment partnerships in the energy and renewable energy sectors.
