On March 18, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev attended the ceremony of presenting state awards to mark the ancient holiday of renewal –Nauryz. The President gave a speech during the ceremony, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported.
Addressing the participants, the President emphasised that holy Nauryz has been giving a new life to nature since time immemorial. In this context, Tokayev noted that the main goal in the modern realities is to build new Kazakhstan that must ensure effective mechanisms, a fair society and the greater well-being and quality of life of the people.
The President reminded about the global geopolitical imbalance. This instability may also affect Kazakhstan for the understandable reasons, but the country will not deviate from the chosen path and do everything to achieve its goals, the Kazakh leader said.
Noting patriotism of the people of Kazakhstan, the President said many hardworking and courageous citizens, who remain committed to their principles in the most difficult situations, live in the country. Tokayev emphasised that they called for cohesion and peace, risked their life to save other people and showed an example of genuine heroism during the January riots.
