Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev met with Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Kyrgyzstan Nikolai Udovichenko. The interlocutors focused on promoting bilateral cooperation in trade, economy and culture, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
They also discussed the top- and high-level foreign policy events, including those to take place within Kyrgyzstan’s chairmanship in the EAEU.
They also exchanged views on the implementation of the agreements reached following Kazakbayev’s official visit to Moscow.
As was reported, Ruslan Kazakbaev visited Moscow on March 5 at the invitation of RF Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov. This visit marked the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The foreign ministers discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation during the talks.
Following the talks, the ministers signed a Joint Statement and the 2022-2024 Programme of Cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
