On March 16, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Data Processing Centre of the State Tax Committee to inspect its working conditions, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reports.
The President talked to the employees and gave the high-ranking officials specific instructions to improve the efficiency of tax authorities.
In October 2020, the President signed the Decree on the modernisation of the Centre and the allocation of 100 billion soums from the state budget for this purpose. The funds were used to repair the premises and stuff it with modern equipment: uninterruptible power supply units, servers, air conditioners and computers with a high level of performance.
These measures have allowed improving the performance of the Data Processing Centre eightfold and significantly increasing calculation speed. Cybersecurity technologies and new types of business analytics software, including e-ijara, e-imtiyoz, Value added taxpayers, Tax audits, Automated in-house control system and Tax gap coefficient, were introduced.
The Centre keeps data of all taxpayers in Uzbekistan. 50 employees of the Centre conduct operations and real-time monitoring of tax flows.
