King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince of the country of the Two Holy Mosques Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud sent congratulatory telegrams to newly elected President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. It was reported by Saudi Press Agency on March 16.
The king stressed that he was very excited when Berdimuhamedov won the presidential election in Turkmenistan. He wished the newly elected head of state success in political work, and he expressed hope that the life of the citizens of the Central Asian country will be progressive and prosperous.
The Crown Prince of the country of the Two Holy Mosques also congratulated the Turkmen official on great election results. He expressed hope that Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s work within the relevant post would be successful.
The election was held on March 12. Serdar Berdimuhamedov, candidate for the Democratic Party, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for Financial and Economic Affairs, got 72,97% of the votes. The inauguration of the newly elected president will take place on March 19.
