On March 11, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov met with the Swiss delegation led by Director General of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation Patricia Danzi. The parties discussed further cooperation in the trade, investment, finance and humanitarian sectors, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reports.
The Chairman of the Government congratulated the Swiss delegation on the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two states.
Among other things, Akylbek Japarov proposed to arrange an official visit of President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov to the Swiss Confederation in 2022 to strengthen Kyrgyzstan-Switzerland relations.
Patricia Danzi noted that Switzerland highly evaluates friendly relations with Kyrgyzstan and confirmed Switzerland’s intention to cooperate actively to support the social, economic and democratic development of the country.
The interlocutors discussed environmental protection and climate sustainability issues.
