On March 8, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan hosted a festivity dedicated to the celebration of International Women’s Day. As part of the event, state awards and keys to new apartments were given to mothers with many children. It was reported by the «MIR 24» TV channel.
By decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, women who gave birth to eight or more children received the keys to new modern apartments in the center of Ashgabat. They were also awarded the honorary title «Ene mahri» («Mother’s Tenderness»).
Altyn Nurlyyeva, the mother of four boys and four girls, said that receiving the honorary award made her day. Natalya Saltykova, the mother of five sons and three daughters, admitted that she still does not believe in getting an apartment in the capital of Turkmenistan from the state.
The state award also includes regular financial payments and a full social package. The president gave each girl, young woman and woman 60 manats on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
