On March 3, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Moscow Davlatshoh Gulmahmadzoda arrived in Ufa for an official visit. He met with Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov. The interlocutors agreed to expand trade and economic cooperation, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reported on March 5.
The interlocutors highlighted the importance of strengthening ties in the agro-industrial sector. Particular attention was paid to the need to attract investments from Bashkortostan’s business circles to Tajikistan and create joint ventures.
They also discussed cooperation in the spheres of labour migration, education and science.
Gulmakhmadzoda had a meeting with Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation Timur Khakimov. The interlocutors agreed to hold business forums.
The Ambassador of Tajikistan said Dushanbe is interested in exporting agricultural and industrial products to Bashkortostan. He also invited Bashkir entrepreneurs to collaborate with Tajikistan.
