Kyrgyzstan seeks to expand cooperation with Central Asian states

On March 1, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Nuran Niyazaliev met with the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Central Asian states to Kyrgyzstan. Niyazaliev positively evaluated the current state of regional cooperation and specified the prospects for promoting it in the interests of all states, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

He emphasised that the Kyrgyz side is interested in further intensifying cooperation with the  Central Asia states in accordance with the final documents of the consultative meetings of the Heads of State of Central Asia.

Ambassador of Kazakhstan Rapil Zhoshybaev, Ambassador of Tajikistan Nazirmad Alizoda, Ambassador of Turkmenistan Shadurdy Meredov and Ambassador of Uzbekistan Khurshid Mirzahidov attended the briefing.

As was reported, following the results of the Consultative Meeting in Turkmenistan, the Central Asian leaders noted that this event enabled to conduct comprehensive consideration of promising areas of further regional mutually beneficial cooperation in ensuring security and stability, as well as in the trade, economy and investment, transport and transit sectors.
