President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting on February 28. Rakhym Gandymov, the mayor of Ashgabat, showed the leader of the country the types of flowers that are grown in the capital. The presentation was made online. It was reported by the state news agency «Turkmenistan today».
According to the official, the plants are adapted to the soil and climate of the Central Asian country very well. Berdimuhamedov, in turn, asked the civil servant about the longevity of the flowers, noting that they make the city more charming and make local residents happier.
The head of the state stressed that this is especially important on the eve of International Women’s Day, which is celebrated on March 8. The President ordered Gandymov to pay special attention to the planting of seedlings.
On March 8, the women and girls of Turkmenistan will receive gifts on behalf of the leader of the country. It will be done beforehand, on March 1-6. Such money gifts are given to the fair sex of the country every year.
