Kyrgyzstan to send another batch of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

On February 23, Ambassador-at-Large, Special Representative for Afghanistan of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Avazbek Atakhanov participated in a meeting of EU and CA special representatives on the peaceful settlement of the situation and economic recovery of Afghanistan, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The Kyrgyz side noted that Kyrgyzstan supports the continuation of EU-CA cooperation on Afghanistan and efforts of all countries and the international community to assist the Afghan people in overcoming existing problems and building peaceful and stable Afghanistan.

It was noted that Kyrgyzstan was among the first states to provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people. Currently, it is preparing to deliver another batch of humanitarian aid.

Atakhanov said Kyrgyzstan calls on the world community to assist the Afghan people in overcoming humanitarian crisis, building a strong state, integrating into regional cooperation and implementing important economic and infrastructure projects.
